NPFL Transfer: Affliction will not visit twice! Bendel Insurance FC Officials Call For Calm From Fans

A few weeks after their promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL), fans of Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin have cried out to the team’s management to announce new signings to put their mind at rest, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

It’s been twenty days since the Nigeria Professional Football League transfer window opened and clubs have been active in the market signing players from fellow competitors and lower clubs.

The news making rounds in the market have pushed Bendel Insurance FC fans to cry out to the management, allaying their fears of the repetition of their last time out in the NPFL.

According to some of the fans both in the country and abroad, in the Bendel Insurance FC Fans Page official WhatsApp group, they want to know the direction of the team’s transfer. “Insurance nor go sign where others are signing from?”

“Insurance should try and sign some quality players to add to the strong team which they have already.”

“Where’s Bendel Insurance in this matter, are we not active in the market?”

But in calming the tension, one of the officials of the team, Comrade Sixtus Omokhagbor pleaded for patience from the fans, assuring them that the management is not sleeping over this issue and results will start to fly in anytime soon.

“We just finished the NNL season and the coaching crew is on top of the situation. For now, I plead for patience as we may not be doing much on social media to avoid distraction”

In addition to Comrade Sixtus’ voice, the team’s Media Officer, Kehinde Osagede noted that affliction will not be revisited. He stated that about ten teams the club presently have players discussion with, including a foreign club.

“I feel I owe you the obligation and respect to know what’s up, please be patient. I assure you, we are working, but with less noise.”

“In a week, I will release ten names of established players, from backline to attack that we are working on.”

“We know what we want…affliction cannot return.”

Bendel Insurance gained promotion to the NPFL by emerging winners from the NNL with 49 points in a group where the likes of Gateway United, Vandrezzer FC, Adoration FC, Ikorodu City FC, Osun United and others prominently featured.
