It was a great start to matchday 21 of the Nigeria Premier Football League 2023/24 season as Enugu Rangers defeated Doma United 1-0 at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe, Platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The Flying Antelopes took maximum points away from home, defeating the host by a goal to nil. The goal that made the difference came from Rangers midfielder, Chinemerem Ugwueze, who stuck home from close range at the half-hour mark.
The victory means Fidelis Ilechuckwu’s side moves up the table to fourth position with 34 goals and a +7 goal difference. Also, the victory the Flying Antelopes this season got maximum points over Akinade Onigbinde’s side after defeating them earlier in the season 2-1.
The loss makes it two defeats in a roll for the Savannah Tigers who lost away from home 3-2 to Rivers United. Doma United are now winless in a League game against Rangers in all four meetings.
The defeat also drops Doma to seventh position for the moment as they will be hoping not to drop further down the log
