NPFL24: Katsina United rescue point in Ilorin

Katsina United fought back to rescue a point against Kwara United in a one-all draw at the Ilorin Township Stadium on matchday 21 of the Nigeria Premier Football League, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

The visitors scored the equalizer in the 87th minute from Michael Ibe Okoro after Kwara United had taken the lead in the 44th minute. The goal was scored from a corner kick which beat Goalkeeper Adeyinka Adewale.

The equalizer came in, seven minutes after the host was down to 10 men as Sunday Akinmoladun saw red after a rash challenge on Isaiah Ejeh. The draw makes it two consecutive draws for the home side after they managed to hold Sunshine Stars to a one-all draw at Akure on Match Day 20.

Before the game, Katsina United defeated Niger Tornadoes 1-0 at home, the Katsina-based side will see this draw as a morale booster as they prepare to host four-time winners of the NPFL, Kano Pillars.
