NPFL24: Hussaini Abdullahi expresses joy in Tanimu scoring

At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium last Saturday, Bendel Insurance defeated Plateau United by a lone goal scored by Tanimu Benjamin from the spot. The matchday three Nigeria Premier Football League game saw Insurance go top of the table despite having a game to spare.

Speaking after the game, Hussaini Abdullahi, an unused substitute in the game expressed shared happiness for his fellow defender.

“I am excited for Tanimu Benjamin. Last time he played a penalty was at the Federation Cup semi final against Warri Wolves.

“He missed the spot kick and ever since then, he has not taken any for Insurance prior to last weekend. Although, we won but he was unhappy.

“Today (Saturday) I am happy he scored and I’m sure it will improve his morale when it comes to taking penalties. He has been practising in training and his goal saved the day.

Tanimu Benjamin was awarded the Man of the Match after his lone goal secured maximum points for the Benin-based team.
