The Saturday fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League 2023/24 Season, matchday 21 saw matches take place in three centres with no home victory recorded, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
One away win and two draws were recorded in the three centres with a total of three goals. One goal was scored at Pantami Stadium in Gombe and the other two at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
The early kick off which took place at the Pantami Stadium by 3 pm saw the the away team, Enugu Rangers pick up maximum points away from home. Doma went down to a 30th-minute goal from Chinemerem Ugwuez and failed to equalize after 90 minutes.
The second game of the day which took place in Ilorin, saw Kwara United share points with visitors, Katsina United after a one-all draw. The Harmony Boys took the lead in the 44th minute but went down to 10 men in the 80th minute, then Katsina United came back into the game with only three minutes of regulation time remaining.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City, the Benin Arsenals failed to record a win at home after a goalless draw with Enyimba. The thrilling encounter was crucial to the away side who would have gone up the table with a win but was able to get a point from the very difficult stadium to get a point.
The results will be a morale booster to the away teams. It is left to be seen if away teams win and get points away from home in Sunday fixtures
