…cleric describes second citizen as loyal, committed deputy
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, on Sunday, joined Governor Godwin Obaseki, his wife, Betsy at a thanksgiving service in honour of the immediate past Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev. Dr. Oriname Oyonunde Kure, at the Evidence of the Gospel Church, lnternational Headquarters, Benin City, for a successful tenure in office.
Shaibu was received at the service by some members of CAN and other dignitaries who graced the celebration.
In his remarks, the celebrant and presiding bishop, Evidence of the Gospel Church, Rev. Dr. Oriname Oyonunde Kure, described the Deputy Governor as a very loyal and pragmatic public servant, whose unfailing commitment to the Governor of Edo State has been manifest for all to see.
“I pray that God continues to bless, strengthen and empower you with unmerited favour”, the man of God added.
Shaibu took the second reading from the book of Psalms 75:1; “Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks:for that, thy name is near than wondrous works declare”.
The thanksgiving service attracted eminent personalities from across Edo State and beyond.
