Bendel Insurance Football Club centre-back, Sunday Anyanwu has thrown his support behind the maiden edition of the Platinum News football scouting tournament which kicks off on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

The centre back who has been instrumental in his team’s success in the 2022/2023 NPFL season where they currently sit 1st in group A and become the first team to retain their NPFL status for next season, has registered his interest in who becomes the best defender of the tournament.
Sunny Quality as fondly called by his lovers said it is his wish to see top defenders emerge from the tournament and he will especially be decorating the best amongst the defenders with the Best Defender Award at the end of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Mama Bestie Restaurant, Mannaseh Osamuyumen has added more spice to the tournament with the sum of 50,000 naira to support the logistics of the tournament.
Mr. Mannaseh, a journalist and an entrepreneur also promised to treat the best coach and most valuable player of the tournament to lunch in his Restaurant, at the end of the tournament.
The Platinum Cup will kick off on Wednesday, April 12 at the University of Benin Sports complex where 13 teams will jostle for honour as well as have their players provided the opportunity to be scouted by various local and international scouts.
