Nigerian striker Juliet Adebowale-Arimoro have sealed her move to Sheffield United Women’s Football Club from FA Women’s National League side London Bees.
The 20-year-old sensation had previously been in the Academy of Brighton & Hove Albion for several seasons before joining the London Bees at the start of the last campaign and gained Championship experience last year during a dual registration spell with Watford.
The Falconets of Nigeria’s starlet’s impressive outing during the pre-season with the Blades, scoring in the team’s friendlies against Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool Feds, is excited about joining her new club as the new season draws even closer.
“I’m really happy. This is a great club to be at and I think it will improve my career. It’s different, a different city for me but it’s been good. Training has been good, I’ve gained a lot of experience in the pre-season games and the girls have been really good. It feels like home, it’s been nice”, she said.
The Club’s Head Coach, Jonathan Morgan anticipates what options can the young forward add to the squad attack.
“I spoke to Juliet just before pre-season and she wanted a chance to show what she has. She was willing to come up and we provided her with a trial. She’s quick, she’s scored goals in pre-season which is fantastic for us and she is someone who can add to our strike power for the new season”, Morgan said.
