The first half of the game ended barren as both sides were unable to find the back of the net. The second half saw the heavens open as it poured rain. With the rain came goals, with the Likuenas of Lesotho scoring the opener from a set-piece. Motlomelo Mkwanazi headed in a corner kick taken by Tshwarelo Bereng to give Lesotho the lead in the 56th minute.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria responded 11 minutes later with the equaliser with Semi Ajayi heading in a corner kick taken by Kelechi Iheanacho.
Coach Jose Peseiro, trying to secure victory for Nigeria brought in Moses Simon, Terem Moffi, Joe Aribo, Bruno Onyemaechi, and Ola Aina. None of the substitutes were able to give the Super Eagles that much needed win.
Nigeria sit second in the FIFA World Cup Qualifying CAF Group C with one point. Super Eagles will now face Zimbabwe on Sunday, November 11 by 2pm Nigerian time.
