Tamara Ezekiel Reveals why he joined Insurance Ahead of Confederations Cup Clash

The newest addition to Bendel Insurance’s midfield, Tamara Ezekiel, has expressed his admiration for the team’s positivity and camaraderie as he revealed why he joined the Benin Arsenal.

Having observed their games and even faced them on the field, Ezekiel has long been drawn to the ambitious spirit of the football club. The team’s impressive track record, including clinching the Federation Cup and an impressive 21-game undefeated streak in the league, has left a lasting impact on him.

“Bendel Insurance is an ambitious team. I watched them play, even played against them. During those games, I noticed positivity and a good relationship between the players and staff of the football club. Ever since then, I have been eyeing them for long.

“The result the team has put out together is what inspired me. Winning the Federation Cup and going 21 games unbeaten in the league also played a part.”

Ezekiel is set to make his mark as Bendel Insurance prepares to take on Algerian contenders ASO Chlef in the CAF Confederations Cup first preliminary round.

For Ezekiel, the opportunity to contribute his skills to an already quality team is a true privilege as the much-anticipated match is scheduled for Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

“Participating in the CAF Confederations Cup and for me to add to the quality the team has, is a privilege for me,” Tamara concluded.
