Time to seek more knowledge – Adeleke Ayoola

Foremost Edo State sports journalist, Adeleke Ayoola has revealed that it is time for him to build himself rather than travelling outside the shores of Nigeria to cover tournaments.

This was made known to the general public during a radio programme, Sports World on Silverbird Rhythm 93.7fm on Saturday afternoon.

Ayoola while introducing himself on the programme was asked a question by the show anchor, Sharon Ekhiwere on which tournament he will be covering. Shockingly, “Mansa RSS” as fondly called revealed he opted out of covering the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the Women African Cup of Nations and the Paris 2024 Olympics in France.

“I have decided to opt out of the AFCON and Olympics because I believe there is time for everything. I will cover the National Sports Festival and every other local tournament but international, I doubt, unless there is a call from the Office of the President,” he said.

He went on to explain his decision to opt out because he will be returning to the four walls of a classroom for another postgraduate degree.

“2024 is not a year I want to travel so much, I have to go back to the classroom to study harder. I love seeking knowledge and there’s a need to go back for another postgraduate degree.” Ayoola added.
