Video: Chaos As Mali Players Fight Each Other Over Loss To Serbia



Comical scenes emerged today from the ongoing FIBA Women’s World Cup in Australia after Mali lost to Serbia, 81-68 ending the team’s hope of qualifying for the Quarter finals.


After losing to Serbia and getting eliminated from the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup, things certainly webt south between Mali national team players.


Videos making the rounds gives a clue of the situation as the game’s top-scorer, Sasa Cado, a Serbian was granting an interview in the mixed zone, two Malians were involved in a scuffle.


The video shows Salimatou Kourouma and Kamite Elisabeth Dabou, both players of the Mali Women Basketball Team involved in a heated fight with other players and members of the coaching staff, attempting to separate both ladies.


As for Mali has lost all four games in the tournament so far by an average margin of 30.25 points. As for Kourouma, she averages 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while Dabou’s numbers are a little lower – 3.8 points and a rebound per game.


Mali initially did not qualify for the tournament but were called on to replace Nigeria due to the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in Nigeria banning the country from participating in International Competitions.
