In the absence of Randy Waldrum, Coach Justin Madugu has named 21 players for the Super Falcons’ upcoming crucial clash against Cape Verde in the Women Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The nine-time African champions are set to face Cape Verde in the first leg at MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on November 30, followed by the return leg in Praia on December 5.
The Super Falcons earned their spot in this final round after a dominant 5-1 aggregate victory over Ethiopia. They drew 1-1 in Addis Ababa before securing a commanding 4-0 win in Abuja.
Having never missed the Women Africa Cup of Nations since its inception in 1998, the Super Falcons aim to continue their impressive track record, having secured nine titles out of the 12 contested so far.
