Action started on Friday afternoon at the Benin Technical College football field when Shavik Football Academy also known as Shavik Lions hosted current league leaders. At Eresoyen primary school Oluku, Benin City, the local derby between Rangers FC and Red stars FC on Saturday morning ended in a five goal thriller. Red Stars went up by 3 goals after Gift Omorodion opened scoring early in the 8th minute of the game before he made a brace in the 48th minute of the game after James Odion scored the second goal of the match.
Rangers however gave a tough fight to the away team , scoring twice through Ayaya Cash and Maluda and then knocking severally to even the tie. In the end, it was victory for Red Stars who won 3-2.
