2024 YPL MATCH DAY 3 ROUND UP – Worshippers FC maintains League position after away win at Shavik FA; Red Stars pips Rangers in local derby.

It was all fun and thrill as teams playing the 2024 Youth premier League in Benin City treated fans and followers of the league to some sumptuous delicacies of football artistry and moments across all centres in the matchday three of the highly rated football league, www.platinumnews.ng is reporting.

Action started on Friday afternoon at the Benin Technical College football field when Shavik Football Academy also known as Shavik Lions hosted current league leaders. The game was very entertaining as both teams pressed hard to score. The defense of both teams were solid resisting the pressure from both ends.

The only goal of the game finally came in the 63rd minute and it was Monday, a striker of Worshippers who scored the goal.

At Eresoyen primary school Oluku, Benin City, the local derby between Rangers FC and Red stars FC on Saturday morning ended in a five goal thriller. Red Stars went up by 3 goals after Gift Omorodion opened scoring early in the 8th minute of the game before he made a brace in the 48th minute of the game after James Odion scored the second goal of the match.

Rangers however gave a tough fight to the away team , scoring twice through Ayaya Cash and Maluda and then knocking severally to even the tie. In the end, it was victory for Red Stars who won 3-2.

Genesis FA were favoured by the absence of Bravehearts FC in their gams as they received 3 points and 3 goals as their opponents didn’t turnup.
