The inaugural edition of the Kindness Ohiowele Memorial Cup played in honour of the late Mr. Kindness Ohiowele, former vice chairman of the Edo State Football Association, came to a close with a captivating match between Ine Stars FC and Rockers FC.
The tournament had 26 teams compete to honour the former FA Chairman.
The final game was an intense, action-packed encounter from the kick-off.

Ine Stars FC showcased their experience and physical prowess, while Rockers FC fought valiantly, creating scoring opportunities.

However, Ine Stars’ robust defence stifled the Rockers’ attack, ultimately leading to a 1-0 victory.

The decisive goal came just before halftime, courtesy of a well-executed strike. Prior to this, both teams were evenly matched, with neither able to gain a clear advantage. Before the second half, both teams were reduced to 10 men due to dissent, resulting in a more cautious approach. Despite Rockers’ efforts, Ine Stars’ lone goal proved to be the difference-maker.
