AFCON 23: Ahmed Musa to captain Nigeria as NFF releases 25-man squad

Head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Jose Santos Peseiro has named 25 players for the Africa Cup of Nations set to take place in Ivory Coast, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Although Peseiro had the opportunity to choose 27 players, he has decided to call up only 25 players with only one home-based player included.

Ahmed Musa will once again captain the Super Eagles to the 34th edition of the biennial competition with regulars like Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, AC Milan forward, Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina and Francis Uzoho making the list.

Nigeria is grouped alongside tournament hosts, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
