Atletico Madrid Signs Nigerian Forward On A Permanent Deal

Atletico Madrid has completed the signing of Spanish-born Nigerian striker Samuel Omorodion from another Spanish Club on a long-term deal.

The Madrid-based club announced the Spanish U-19 national team starlet in a statement released on their website on Monday.

The 19-year-old put pen to paper in a five-year contract that will run till 2028, however, joined from Granada CF where he established himself in the youth setup in 2021 having played for AD Nervión the year before.

Omorodion who became a regular in the Granada B shirt with 18 goals Segunda Division RFEF to his name last season, marked his first team La Liga debut in the season opener, starting and scoring the equaliser in a 3–1 away loss against his now-new club side, Atlético Madrid.
