Bendel Insurance’s new acquisition, Tamara Ezekiel who had a very fantastic game on Saturday against Algerian-based Aso Chlef in the first preliminary round of the CAF confederations cup, was very pleased about how he has settled in as a Bendel insurance player, commending the fanbase on their support.
The midfield maestro, in an interview with platinumnewsng.com after the all-important fixture spoke about how very competitive and demanding the game was, but was happy his team was able to get a win.
On what he expects from Aso Chlef in the second leg, he said, “You could see from the game that we wanted to score more goals, as we understand that this is CAF confederations cup and goals matters a lot, but unfortunately we couldn’t get more goals. At this point, we are going to hold on to our one-goal lead, prepare well, and play to see if we can get a win or a draw, but we’re not going to lose.
The former Shooting Stars sports club player, went on to heap praise on the quality of the opponent, picking out their possessional play, their strong defence as well as their communication on the field of play, hence he expects a tougher and more competitive game from them.
