Excitement as MTN CHAMPS Benin sees Over 1,500 event entries

Edo State capital, is agog ahead of the MTN CHAMPS Benin athletic event, with over 800 athletes getting ready for a three-day athletics competition, scheduled to run from October 12th to 14th at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

According to the organisers, a whopping 1,500 event entries have been submitted, representing the efforts of 800 athletes ready to demonstrate their prowess on the track and field.

The entries span across three distinct age categories, namely Cadet, Youth, and Junior, offering a comprehensive representation of young athletes eager to shine.

As of Friday, October 6th, 2023, a total of 142 school and team entries have been officially registered for this inaugural event.
