Kafilat Almaruf of Team Edo has equaled her Personal/World record in the Women’s Para Powerlifting at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State.
Kafilat Almaruf lifted 138 in her first attempt and increased it to 142 in the second before equalling the record in her third attempt – 145.
Kafilat had on October 30 2022 lifted 145 at the African Championship – the pathway to Olympics 2024 in Cairo, Egypt.
She expressed her delight at setting the record back to back.
