The Edo State People’s Democratic Party, PDP in ward 11 of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo state, has won with a wide margin the All Progressive Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP) and five other political parties in the ongoing Edo State House of Assembly Election.
The Azama Primary School unit where the Deputy Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Comrade Phillip Shaibu’s votes recorded a sound whitewashing of other political parties by an unmatched margin.
Ward 11 according to the result announced by INEC, has 1,367 accredited voters from the 2, 330 registered voters —, PDP polled 1,321 votes to best rivals, the All Progressive Congress (34), Labour Party (3), NNPP (6), NRM (2), PRP (1), SDP (1) and YPP (1)
Shaibu who recorded a landslide victory in his unit with a 1,287 margin thanked the voters who came out in large numbers to vote for the People’s Democratic Party in the assembly election.
“I want to commend the electoral umpire for their work so far and I will want to plead to them to sustain the good work. We are fully aware of ploys by the opposition to twist things, but with this result coming from here, it is obviously going to end in favour of the good people of Edo state.”
“I must however plead to the umpire once again not to temper with the other centre’s result at the point of collattion”, Shaibu quipped.
