The exhilarating tournament, set to commence on Tuesday, June 6, will determine not only the champion of the 2022/23 season but also the representative of Nigeria at the WAFU zonal qualifiers for the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League.
Stepping off their team bus amidst a flurry of excitement and anticipation, the Edo Queens squad radiated a sense of purpose and determination. With instructions from their dynamic coach, Moses Adukwu, the team’s journey to the Super Six has been nothing short of exceptional. After a gruelling season filled with fierce competition and remarkable displays of skill, Edo Queens remains one of the favourites to clinch the coveted title.
With their relentless pursuit of excellence, Edo Queens have displayed an impressive blend of teamwork, individual brilliance, and unwavering spirit throughout the season which saw them finish top of Group B. The team’s success can be attributed to the seamless coordination between their defensive stalwarts, the midfield maestros, and their lethal strike force. Led by their inspirational stand-in captain, Suliat Abideen, the Queens from Edo have firmly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
The NWFL Super Six kicks off on Tuesday, June 6, promising a week filled with electrifying action as Edo Queens alongside FC Robo Queens, Confluence Queens, Rivers Angels, Delta Queens and the defending champions Bayelsa Queens.
