Edo Queens hammers FC Robo Queens 4-1

Edo Queens ran riot over Robo Queens in a five Goa thriller that ended 4-1 in favour of the home team, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Kafayat Mafisere, Eunice Godwin and Esther Moses all registered their name on the scoresheet of Edo Queens.

Edo Queens got the opener from a low powerless shot taken from outside the box by Kafayat Mafisere. The shot although slow, still beat Ndubuisi Esther, goalie of FC Robo.

Five minutes after the first, Eunice Godwin doubled the scoreline for the Benin based team. A shot earlier taken by Esther Moses was deflected, a loose ball fell on the path of Eunice Godwin, who put the ball beyond the reach of Robo Queens goalkeeper.

The second half saw the Lagos Landladies come out with a change of style; Gegenpress. Their concerted efforts paid off as they halved the deficit in the 63rd minute from a cross by Nkwocha Favour, which landed in the bottom right corner of the post.

Edo Queens quickly scored the third for the night, a brace for Eunice Godwin in the 65th minute. She headed in from a corner kick taken by Kafayat Mafisere.

Rebecca Ajimuda got an assist to her name as Esther Moses netted the fourth for Edo Queens after rounding FC Robo goalie, Ndubuisi Esther.

Edo Queens will face Rivers Angels away from home in matchday two of the NWFL Premiership.
