Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin will kick off its 2026 President Federation Cup journey with a clash with Katsina United Juniors in the Round of 64 of the tournament.
At the draws conducted Friday evening, the 2023 champions received what many would tag as a cheap encounter —as expected for big teams at this stage.
The team’s journey to the last 8 also looks easy on paper as their potential opponents include Crown FC and Cynosure in the Round of 32 and winners between Elkanemi Warriors, Akwa United, Krusaders FC, and Wilbros FC.
The team would however begin a tough journey from the quarter finals where teams like Shooting Stars, Warri Wolves, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Bayelsa United are potential opponents.
Meanwhile, the other Edo representative, Westgate Football Club will begin their journey against Nasarawa United Football Club in the Round of 64.
In the women’s category, Edo Queens will start their journey with Edo Ghetto Tigers while Fortress Ladies will play against Ibom Angels.
Games kick off on May 21st and 2nd before the next round follows a few days later at venues yet to be fixed.
