Becky Okpitiko stands out Sunday morning as Edo Women’s Rugby team on day two of the first National Women Rugby Tournament ongoing in Asaba of Delta State, blew out the Benue Bufallos from the tournament.
The first quarter-final match that took place at the Main Bowl of the Stephen Keshi Stadium saw team Edo hand their opponents a 27-0 defeat.
Becky Okpitiko recorded 2 Try, Precious Okwoma had 1 Try, same as Imade Obadan with Augusta Mene accounting for 1 Try and 1 Conversion.
Delta A though had a tough time against their neighbour, Anambra, but the Big Heart of the Nation’s team did well to record a 7-0 over Anambra Angles
In another match, Delta B took Eastern Springbok to the cleaner with a huge 24-0 win to make the Delta team in the semi-finals two.
