The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a substantial financial backing of $20,000 to bolster the campaign of Women’s Premier League side Ampem Darkoa Ladies in their pursuit of glory at the Women’s WAFU B Qualifiers for the CAF Women’s Champions League.

As Ampem Darkoa Ladies gear up for the third edition of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, the GFA’s monetary backing will go a long way to propel the lady’s aim for glory.

With the tournament set to kick off on Sunday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the Ampem Darkoa Ladies are primed to shine in the competition.

The GFA’s generous support encompasses pivotal areas, including air tickets, essential for the team’s journey to Benin City.

However, the GFA’s involvement goes beyond financial assistance. Recognizing the significance of holistic preparation, the Association also extended their helping hand to ensure the team’s optimal condition.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have been afforded the luxury of free accommodation and nourishing meals at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram. This intensive 15-day training camp signifies the GFA’s holistic approach to empowering women’s football, encapsulating both financial support and strategic preparation.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies are set to play their first game on Sunday, August 20, 2023, as they face off against Togolese champions Amis du Monde in the enthralling WAFU B competition.
