Napoli has officially parted ways with their social media manager, Alessio Fortino, due to recent TikToks related to Victor Osimhen that were posted on the club’s social media channels, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
These videos, one of which mocked Osimhen’s missed penalty against Bologna and the other compared him to a coconut, caused outrage among Osimhen, his colleagues, supporters, and government officials in Nigeria.
Fortino, who had been with Napoli for two and a half years, has left his position, although some sources claim he had decided to step down earlier and that this departure is unrelated to Osimhen’s situation. It is worth noting that Fortino did not create the TikToks himself, and the person responsible has personally apologized to Osimhen.
In his personal statement announcing his departure from Napoli, Fortino expressed gratitude to colleagues, collaborators, partners, and fans, reflecting on his 805-day journey with the club and looking forward to new adventures.
There was no mention of Osimhen or the TikTok posts in his statement.
