NFF Sets Up Normalization Committee for Plateau State FA

In a bid to address the impasse surrounding the elections into the Plateau State Football Association (FA) board, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has taken decisive action by constituting a Normalization Committee.

The committee will be responsible for overseeing the affairs of the Plateau State FA and ensuring a smooth and fair electoral process.

Appointed as the chairman of the committee is Hon. Yakubu Audu Buba, a well-respected figure in football administration. Assisting him as vice chairman will be Mr Daniel Kumi, bringing his expertise to the table.

The committee also comprises individuals of high repute, including Professor Ishaya Pam, Barr. Dan Gwarzo, and Mallam Abdullahi Abubakar Maigero, each bring their unique insights and knowledge to the committee’s task.

In addition, Mr. Daniel Langs has been appointed as the secretary of the Normalization Committee, tasked with managing administrative responsibilities efficiently.

The formation of the committee became necessary due to an impasse in the electoral process, as reported by a fact-finding team dispatched by the NFF to Plateau State. With the Normalization Committee now in place, the focus will be on drawing a clear roadmap for conducting the FA board elections. The committee’s primary objective will be to ensure that all eligible stakeholders are provided with an equal opportunity to participate in the electoral process and to supervise the elections.

The NFF expressed confidence in the newly constituted Normalization Committee’s ability to restore harmony within the Plateau State FA and pave the way for a democratic and transparent electoral process.
