Nnadozie Shines as Paris FC knocks Arsenal out of Champions League



Paris FC’s captain and Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, today showcased her exceptional skills by saving two crucial penalties, securing her team’s advancement into thenext stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) Qualifiers after defeating Arsenal Women.

Nnadozie’s outstanding form, carried over from the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup, saw her deny penalties from Norway’s Frida Maanum and England’s Alessia Russo. Paris FC triumphed 4-2 in the penalty shootout, securing their spot in the next round.

Before the Arsenal match, Nnadozie had maintained a clean sheet, with her team leading 2-0 by the hour mark. However, Arsenal’s changes on the bench brought Alessia Russo into play, who promptly scored, leading to a 2-2 draw in regulation time. Paris FC took the lead again in added time, making it 3-2, but Russo struck once more, resulting in a 3-3 tie after extra time.

The penalty shootout saw Nnadozie emerge as the hero, making two crucial penalty saves against Maanum and Russo, securing her team’s progress to the next round of the UWCL Qualifiers.
