Dutch-born Nigerian player Osazee Urhoghide was instrumental in FC Dallas’s advancement to the round of 16 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup following a 3-1 victory over AV Alta FC.
The match began with L. Acosta scoring for FC Dallas in the 3rd minute. However, AV Alta FC quickly equalised with a goal from Late Ayala in the 16th minute, making for an exciting contest. Da Silva Ferreira then restored FC Dallas’s lead in the 43rd minute, just before halftime.
In the second half, FC Dallas took control of the game, with Osazee Urhoghide playing a crucial role in their defence and effectively thwarting the opponents’ attacks. In the 71st minute, B. Kamungo sealed the victory with a well-placed finish, ensuring that the game was out of reach for AV Alta FC.
FC Dallas secured a 3-1 victory over AV Alta FC, which plays in the USL League One, at Toyota Stadium. Throughout the match, Urhoghide showcased his skills and composure, completing 31 passes and making a key tackle. His consistent performance this season has made him a standout player.
Urhoghide played the full 90 minutes, marking his 10th consecutive start for FC Dallas.
