Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu and his wife, Mrs Maryann Shaibu, Tuesday joined Christians from across the world, to celebrate with the Archbishop of Church of God Mission International, Rev Dr Mrs Margaret Benson Idahosa, on her 80th birthday anniversary service.
The event was held at the church’s international convention centre, Balm of Gilead, on the outskirt of Benin City. Shaibu and wife showered praises on the Archbishop over her missionary outreach.
In his goodwill message, the Deputy Governor said: “On behalf of us, your children, home and abroad, we’re here to celebrate and wish you a happy birthday”.
“We’re happy to celebrate you and the impact you have made in our lives and the Church of God Mission International. The joy here is bountiful”.
Shaibu, however, prayed to God to grant Mama Margaret Idahosa long life, good health and more grace to accomplish divine purpose and fulfilment for the benefit of mankind.
In her response, Dr Margaret Idahosa expressed joy for the life of the Deputy Governor and wife who have manifested true love and friendship.
She thanked the second family for their fellowship with the people of God. “I thank the Deputy Governor and his sweetheart for coming to grace this occasion. May God bless you”, the woman of God added.
