Sunny Tuesday, September 26 wasn’t just hot with sunshine, but was sunny for Team Edo as more medals were wracked up – gold medals especially to further boost the team on the Games’ medals table.The medals started rolling in through the Para Table Tennis courtesy of Ivie Edogiawerie in the Female Singles category; she beat Ekeruche Success of Team Lagos to grab the gold. In the Men’s Singles, Mustapha Quadri knicked a shared bronze medal with Team Ogun.

A few hours later, Joy Nwaabuzor clinched a gold medal in the Female Scrabble to throw the camp into a frenzy mood.While the celebration was yet to go down, two medals rolled in from the Gymnastics – Solomon Aliu clinched gold in the Male’s Floor Exercise category and Excel Ocheke grabbed Bronze.

Excel Ocheke completed all varieties of medals on the day with a silver in the Gymnastics Male’s Vault event.No medal yet in the Dart, but the Team advanced to the semi-finals of the Mixed Doubles after beating Team Katsina 2-1 – the team went home refreshed, hoping to make it to the final tomorrow and add another potential gold medal for Team Edo.
