Flamingos midfielder, Taiwo Afolabi affirms that the team’s goal ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup about to kick off in India is to emerge winners of the competition.
In an interview with NFF TV, she backed up the youngsters to be favourites’ to achieve glory at the competition.
“It is a dream come true for us all as this is our first ever world cup.
It’s new to us, but we are going there to play and show the whole world what we are made of.”
“It is left for us to go there and conquer the world. My target is helping the team to achieve its goal which is to win the world cup.”
The Flamingos however have been paired alongside Germany, Chile and New Zealand in group B and will kick start their campaign against Germany Today, October 11 by 3:30 pm West African Time.
