Nigeria Senior Women Volleyball team were beaten by Kenya in the Quarterfinals of the ongoing African Women’s Nations Volleyball Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The Nigerian ladies went into Tuesday’s game hoping to make it through to the Semifinals after scaling through to the quarter-finals by whiskers after a slim defeat to Algeria in their last match, but the ladies from Kenya were as solid as they’ve been since the tournament started, sweeping pass Nigeria by 3-0 (25-14; 25-17; 25-11).
The unbeaten Malika Strikers maintained their 100% performance in the championship with this victory over Nigeria as they won all group stage games.
Kenya will next play, host Cameroon in what many have termed a tesemi-final match.
