Eugene Agagbe Takes Helm at Lobi Stars as Team Manager Suspended



Nigerian Premier Football League side, Lobi Stars has announced Coach Eugene Agagbe as the new Head Coach, citing confidence in his ability to steer the team to success, as they currently sit in second place on the league table, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Mr. Agagbe, who holds a CAF B license, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to do his utmost to achieve success with the Benue based team.

The club’s CEO and Vice Chairman, Dominic Iorfa also announced the suspension of the club’s Team Manager, Mr. Gabriel Ogwuche, without pay, on the grounds of gross insubordination. Mr. Ode Ogah has been appointed as the acting Team Manager in his stead.

Former BCC Lions of Gboko defender and club legend, Felix Pilakyaa, has been named the club’s new substantive Club Welfare Officer, replacing Mr. Shimlumun Iorpenda.

During a press conference, club representatives addressed questions from journalists about the newly signed players.

Mr. Iorfa however assured them that player details would soon be unveiled on the club’s social media platforms. He encouraged everyone to follow the club for the latest updates.

The press conference in which the new coach was unveiled concluded with a moment of silence in honour of the late Coach of Lobi Stars, Justin Tenger, who recently passed away in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
