Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has confirmed that Royal Antwerp midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf is out for Nigeria’s matchday two clash against Ivory Coast, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The Super Eagles were held a 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea in their last match where Alhassan could not complete the game as he sustained an injury setback.
Speaking on Wednesday at the pre-match press conference ahead , Peseiro confirmed that Alhassan is out.
“Yusuf is out from the match tomorrow. He was good yesterday but for tomorrow, he is not ready.”
Alhassan made Nigeria’s final squad as a late replacement for Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi who was ruled out injured for.the duration of the tournament.
