Benin City to Host National Open Kickboxing Championship in August

The Kickboxing federation of Nigeria (KBFN) have announced that the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin City will be the host of the 2nd Diamond superstar national open kickboxing Championship which will hold from 16th to 20th August, 2023. 

In a release signed by the secretary general of the federation, Mr Olalekan Faseesin, the federation made the announcement of the date and venue for the event and also reeled out some details of the event.

The five day event is expected to witness arrival of all fighters, coaches and stakeholders on Wednesday, 16th of August. The competition proper will hold from Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th of August, while the departure date is on Sunday 20th of August. 

It was also stated that the state associations and club will handle the cost of participation of all athletes.

The maiden edition of the diamond national open Championship was hosted in 2022 by Asaba, and athletes of the Edo State Kickboxing association had an excellent outing.

The national championship is expected to feature all top names in kickboxing across the country.
