Colombia 24: Tanzania U20 hold Falconets to 1-1 Draw in qualifiers

Nigeria U20 Women’s team, the Falconets battled to a 1-1 draw against Tanzania in the first leg of their 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup African qualifying series second-round fixture in Dar es Salaam, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

At the artificial turf of the Azam Sports Complex in Tanzania’s capital, the Falconets netted the opener in the 57th minute with a goal from substitute Chioma Olise.

However, the home team swiftly responded 13 minutes later when Asnath Ubamba levelled from a direct free kick, leaving Nigeria’s goalkeeper Anderlin Mgbechi unable to stop it.

The Falconets will head back to Nigeria on Tuesday, carrying high expectations into the second leg on Sunday, November 19, aiming to assert dominance and secure a win over the Tanzanian side.
