Edo FA Fetes Shavik FC, Fortress Ladies FC for Outstanding Media Presence

Shavik Football Club and Fortress Ladies Football Club have been awarded by the Edo State Football Association as the teams with an outstanding online presence in the state.

The two teams have leveraged the media to engage their fans and were celebrated at the Media summit organized by the Media wing of the football association on Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin City.

To receive the award on behalf of Shavik FC was the President, Mr Sharon Ekhiwere, who thanked the football association for deeming it fit to encourage the team with the award, stating that they never knew the little efforts by the team were being noticed by the FA, thereby promising to do more.

Mr Jimmy Aimuagbonrie, the head coach and Chairman of Fortress Ladies FC, was on the ground to be presented with the award for his team. He thanked the FA for the award and also dedicated the award to the media unit of his team for their dedication and hard work. He praised the FA for the initiative of hosting the media summit, which, according to hi,m, was timely.

“You can see that within just one year in office, the FA have achieved a lot. This being the maiden edition of this summit if it can be this successful, I wonder what future editions will look like”.
