Warri Wolves FC’s Technical Adviser, Coach Jolomi Atune on Saturday evening expressed regret to supporters and pledged a strong return following the team’s first defeat this season, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The Delta based side suffered a 2-0 loss against Osun United FC during a Nigeria National League (NNL) match day 3 fixture held at Oshogbo Township Stadium.
Speaking with the media after the game, the coach admitted the setbacks in the team while acknowledging the need to address identified shortcomings as they get ready for the upcoming season matches.
“It is very unfortunate we lost all three points today, I will not say the end result was a true reflection of what went on in the field of play today”
“That is football for you, you win some, you loose some. You put your house together after a game like this and pick the lessons from your mistakes.”
The Seasiders found themselves trailing by two goals within the first six minutes of play, unable to overturn the deficit despite their efforts, ending the match with a 2-0 defeat to the home side.
Following this away loss, Warri Wolves FC currently holds three points from two games, tallying two goals scored and two conceded.
Returning home, the Warri-based team prepares to face another Western side, Ijebu United, on Sunday, December 10th, at Kwale Township Stadium, Kwale.
