NPFL24: Enyimba embark on Pre-Easter CSR programmes

Defending Champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Enyimba International continues to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged with pre-Easter outreach organized by Enyimba Foundation for the motherless Babies, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

The Chairman of the club, Nwankwo Kanu  explained that the club is trying to replicate the community social responsibility programme (CSR) they embarked n in December during the Yuletide season.

“This is the best thing that always happens to me when I do such activities. For me it’s great, it’s wonderful and seeing people smile is the biggest thing that can happen to you.

“Making people smile is what we have done here today. It’s not a one-off thing. In December we celebrated Christmas with patients in the hospitals, now we have done another one today with Motherless Babies Homes and Enyimba is going to do more services.

He also went on to reveal the clubs plan of starting football clinics across the state to engender the development of football players in the state

“I can tell you now, we intend to do football clinics with people in the primary schools and secondary schools. some of them might know the players or their names but they have to see them. Whoever wants to play football in such schools has to know Enyimba.

“Imagine having the players coming to play and train with you, it will encourage you to do more and not only that we are going to visit prisons and share thoughts and gifts with them. So there is a lot Enyimba is going to do not only playing football.” the former Arsenal star said.

Enyimba Foundation in conjunction with Enyimba FC on Monday held a pre-Easter outreach for motherless Babies as four Motherless Babies Homes including the Seventh Days Adventist Motherless Babies Homes in Ogborhill and Ngwa Road in Aba, Rita Joy Motherless Babies Home Abayi in Aba and Father Basil Motherless Babies Home Jubilee Road, Aba benefited.

The event which was put together as part of the NPFL club’s Community Social Responsibility program saw the management of Enyimba FC with the technical crew, players and staff of the Nine-time league champions celebrating with children from the homes.
