NWFL reschedules kick-off date, to begin a day earlier



The Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership organizers have adjusted the kick-off date, moving it a day earlier to Tuesday, November 14, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.


This new development was shared with the public through the league’s social media platforms on Friday morning.



16 teams instead of the initial 14, will compete for glory in this year’s edition. The opening match is set to take place on November 14 at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti, where Ekiti Queens will host the reigning champions, Delta Queens.

The participating teams are divided into two groups:

Group A:

1. Nasarawa Amazons
2. Heartland Queens
3. Confluence Queens
4. Adamawa Queens
5. Dannaz Ladies
6. Naija Ratels
7. Royal Queens
8. Abia Angels

Group B:

1. Remo Stars
2. Rivers Angels
3. Sunshine Queens
4. Robo Queens
5. Edo Queens
6. Bayelsa Queens
7. Ekiti Queens
8. Delta Queens
