President Federation Cup: Beyond Limits FA falls to Hammola FC in round of 64.

Ogun State representative at the 2024 President Federation Cup, Beyond Limits FA of Ikenne on Wednesday lost their round of 64 knockout games to Hammola FC of Osun State on kicks from the penalty mark (penalty Shootout) after both teams played out a 1-1 at fulltime, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

The South Western derby which went down at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasigban, Ibadan, saw the Remo Stars feeders recording the first goal. Shina Ayodele headed home for Beyond Limits in the 24th minute of play after Oluwaseyi Ogunniyi dribbled past his man to cross.

Hammola FC however equalized four minutes later to set up an entertaining showpiece. Both teams made several efforts to go up in the game but all attempts were aborted.

With nothing to separate both teams at the end of regulation time, both teams had to settle for spot kicks to decide who would move over to the next round. While Hammola FC converted 4 of their 5 kicks from the penalty mark, Beyond Limits could only manage 3 goals from the spot, hence confirming their Elimination.

In another development, the second representative of Ogun State at the national tournament, Stormers FC of Abeokuta were knocked out by defending Champions of the tournament, Bendel Insurance 1-0 at the Area 3 football field, Abuja.
