Sabina congratulates Joy Jerry, charges her to be a good ambassador of Edo Queens in China.

The Permanent Secretary of Edo State Sports Commission, Mrs Sabina Chikere has charged former Edo Queens forward, Joy Jerry to be of good behaviour in the Chinese league and represent the club she moved from – Edo Queens – in good light.

Mrs Sabina while charging Edo Queens for victory in their NWFL Premiership matchday 12 against FC Robo at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday said that the girls should look beyond the victory for the team alone, but the impact good performance will have on their career.

The Permanent Secretary encouraged the girls to keep their spirits high and not be deterred by their last result in Lokoja.

“Edo Queens is a team everyone wants to be like, so, they would want to beat you in games; that shouldn’t be your worries, what you should be concerned with is how to beat every team that comes your way”.

“Keep the tempo high, don’t let down your guard and remain focused.”

The sports administrator meanwhile sends a congratulatory message to Changchun FC Ladies of China’s newly acquired forward, Joy Jerry on her move to the top Chinese women’s football league. She advised her in her message to keep being that ‘lion’ on the field of play and represent the Edo Queens badge very well in the course of her stay over there.

“I wish you success in your new club and I pray that God will make China a good hunting ground for you.”

“You have many years ahead of you, so, keep the ball rolling and do well to remember the child of who you are. Represent the Edo Queens FC badge very well there and be a good ambassador to the country.”

Joy Jerry who joined Edo Queens in 2022 from Bayelsa Queens contributed to over 15 goals in her shirt stint with the club before finalizing her deal to China last week.

Edo Queens will play against FC Robo Queens in the NWFL Premiership matchday 12 6 pm on Wednesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
