Sao Tome and Principe’s men’s national football team have touched down in Uyo, Akwa Ibom in preparation for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The players and officials of the Central African country arrived at Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo this morning.
A warm welcome was extended to the delegation by some members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) protocol department upon their arrival.
Super Eagles will on Sunday, September 10 at the Godswill Akpabio stadium face Sao Tome in the last qualifying game for AFCON 2023. This is only the second meeting between both countries, with the Super Eagles having won the first encounter decisively with a score of 10-0.
