AFCON 2023: Super Eagles Camp bubbles as 17 players arrive Abu Dhabi Camp

Ahead of the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the Camp of Super Eagles of Nigeria is in good shape and spirit as 17 out of the invited 25 players are already in camp at the Abu Dhabi base in UAE, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

The team’s media officer Babafemi Raji made this known on Wednesday morning, adding that training will commence on Wednesday evening.

The players already in Camp are Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Ojo Olorunleke, Alex Iwobi, Semilogo Ajayi, Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, Lookman Ademola, Joe Aribo, Frank Onyeka, Bruno Onyemaechi, Chidozie Awaziem, Zaidu Sanusi, Victor Boniface, Raphael Onyedika, Bright Osayi Samuel.As of the time of this report, it is still unknown other players are expected to join up with the team at the camp, but it is already official that midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi will be missing the African football showpiece as he has been ruled out due to injury and will be replaced with Belgium based Alhassan Yusuf.

The Super Eagles are expected to jet into Abidjan to open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea at the Olympic stadium of Ebimpé on Sunday 14th of January.
