The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finally lifted the ban on the Edo State Football Association (FA) elections, bringing much-needed relief and excitement to football gladiators across the state.

Following a tumultuous period of uncertainty, the decision has paved the way for a fresh start in the administration of football in Edo State. After thorough investigations and consultations, the NFF recognized the pressing need for a resolution to the long-standing issue that had plagued the Edo FA.

The ban, which had been in effect for over three months resulted from allegations of misconduct, and financial mismanagement levelled upon the state FA. However, with the ban now lifted, a new chapter of transparency, accountability, and fair play is set to unfold.

To ensure a level playing field, the NFF directed aspiring candidates to purchase nomination forms from the Edo FA secretariat as well as designated locations across all local government areas within the senatorial district. This move demonstrates the NFF’s commitment to involving all stakeholders and allowing a broad range of individuals to participate in the democratic process of the Edo FA elections.

Candidates, driven by their passion for the beautiful game and their desire to uplift football in Edo State, have now begun to purchase the necessary forms and prepare their campaign strategies.
