Strategic partners of the Nigerian premier League (NPL), GTI group have declared that they have a big vision for the Nigerian premier football league, Platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The Head of Media and publicity of the GTI group, Mr Andrew Ekejiuba spoke in an interview during a sports show on Radio hosted by Raypower’s Emmanuel Edet Bassey. He stated that in terms of organisation and structuring that 2023 was a great year for the football body.
He was precise when he stated that in terms of transparency, organization, structuring, etc. , they have a big vision for the NPFL as the signs are already showing, looking at the job that have been done so far.
As one of the indicators of the efforts so far applied by the league body, the level of competition amongst the teams is obvious to everyone.
According to him, “the standard of the league have been wonderful. So far, you cannot say the team that will eventually win the league even with the league going almost halfway.”
“The level of competition amongst the teams is very high and healthy. There is nearly almost a new team at the top of the table after each matchday this season, it is unpredictable how matches are going.”
He expressed his delight that almost all the clubs are keying into the business aspect of the game. “Clubs are repackaging, e.g. Rangers international, etc. , individuals are now coming on board, individuals should own more clubs like we have it abroad.”
