Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okphebholo, has approved the dissolution of the Local Government Service Commission to boost transparency and efficiency in the public sector. This move is part of the governor’s ongoing reforms aimed at streamlining government operations, enhancing efficiency, and improving the overall performance of public institutions in the state
The dissolution as contained in a press statement released by the chief press secretary to the governor, Fred Itua, is expected to eliminate inefficiencies and build a more accountable and effective local service structure.

“This move became necessary to revitalise our Local Government Service Commission and reposition it for more efficient service delivery. By this decision, we aim to eliminate inefficiency and build a more accountable and effective local service structure.
“Edo State Government remains committed to transparent, efficient, and effective public service delivery with the intent of bringing the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
